Brunch in the Courtyard Café at the Windsor Arms Hotel was amazing!  This, of course, is an understatement since you need to be there to experience it yourself.  I was invited to sample the new brunch menu on a Sunday by Mary Tang (Mary’s Happy Belly Blog) and was blown away.  I never had brunch at a hotel before.

The Windsor Arms hotel is located in Yorkville and it’s hidden just around the corner from big name shops of Yorkville like GUCCI, Monte Blanc and Holt Renfrew.  When I first walked in, I couldn’t imagine how beautiful and classy it was.  Right through the front entrance – I can see the gates to paradise (the brunch/dinner hall).  At first I thought it was a regular brunch, but to my surprise it was an All-You-Can-Eat brunch!

I was greeted and escorted through to the brunch hall within minutes of my arrival.  Once I’ve found my seat, I was offered a glass of Windsor Arms Mimosa (a cocktail of specialty Windsor Arms Champagne with fresh orange juice).  A fantastic start!  Drink in one hand, camera in the other – I explored my new found food paradise.

As you can see, the buffet is all-encompassing with Eggs Benedict, Egg Florentine, Eggs Benjamin, anti-pasto, to salads, smoked salmon, OYSTERS, alaskan crab, pastas, chicken and mushroom croquet, coconut shrimps, beef wellington, more OYTERS, and that table of dessert!  There’s also a fondue chocolate fountain!  The crème brulee was to die for, hands down one of the best I ever had.

The Windsor Arms Hotel also carry an extensive menu of teas.  I’ve never seen so many types of teas before, so it was a great opportunity to try out some.  In picture is the Eve’s Temptation – which was pure fruit, apple and mango combination of flavours.  Not sure why it was pink, great for photos though!

I really enjoyed the brunch at the Windsor Arms Hotel due to the fact that it was a AYCE, and they have all things I love to eat – oysters, smoked salmon, egg benedicts, beef wellington, and all you can drink minosas!!!  If you are in the Yorkville neighbourhood, and feeling hungry I definitely recommend checking out this brunch.

The hours for Sunday brunch are 11:00am to 1:30pm. Adults are $65/pp and childen under 12 are $40/pp.  For reservations, call 416-971-9666.

Until the next adventure!

*The brunch was complimentary but the opinions in the post are my own.

My first time to a “Blogger’s Food Tasting Event” on behalf of Mary’s Happy Belly was so awesome!   I really didn’t know what to expect at a Food Tasting event, so I just packed up my DSLR and headed to Warden/Steeles.  With an empty stomach, I wondered what HOPO was – the more I thought about HOPO, the […]

Having to create brand new dishes, comfort food with a unique twist, Kevin Le successfully put Rexfords out there that night.  A learning experience, and with that he came back with a second event.  Better executed, even better dishes and a burning fire that’s unstoppable.  There’s not much to be said about his second event but his Retribution was accomplished.

Honourable guests that I could recognize, Lina Dinh – Fashion Blogger Extraordinaire & Hubert L – Food Blogger.

I tried my hand out with Videography and tried to capture the essence of Rexfords in his environment. Hope y’all like it, catch you at the next event this Saturday June 6th 2015 so make sure you grab tickets!

Ever wonder how famous Chefs become famous?  Ever wonder about the journey they undergo?  Ever wonder about the food they cook before their Michelin Star dishes?  Well, you’re in luck!  In Toronto right now there’s an inspiring Chef that’s breaking some ground rules of learning to cook the “traditional” way.  He’s carving his own path to realize his dreams.  He’s making one of a kind dishes that transcend “normal.”  I had the honour of calling this man my brother, as well as the opportunity to document his pursuit for happiness.

Enter Kevin Le.  He started with a dream, and simple enough – the dream is to open a restaurant called Rexfords Foodbar.  He experimented with food in his own kitchen, and created some amazing yet comforting dishes. Taking it further, he asked friends for different ingredients to make it a challenge.  Everyone chimed in with odd and weird ingredients, but that didn’t stop him from creating – it fuel his passion.  I can go on and on about his food but you can just follow his journey through his Instagram account and Facebook Page.  Here I want to showcase some of his work through the first two events he hosted.  Oh and don’t miss out on the third instalment of Rexfords Kitchen Takeover: Breakthrough.  Grab your tickets and follow Kevin’s journey.

This is Kevin Le’s journey through my lens.
